Background
I have many years of experience working with healthcare professionals:
2002: Dr. Gerald Yates, Ob.Gyn, Burien, WA – My position here was front desk.
2000: Highline Community Hospital, Riverton Heights, WA – I worked as an intake person in the emergency room.
1987: Group Health Cooperative, Federal Way, WA – I was a Patient Care Representative in the Mental Health department, supervised by Caryl Altizer.
1983: Colorado Christian Home, Denver, CO – Here, I was the secretary/front desk for the school within this inpatient adolescent facility for troubled kids, supervised by Randi Sinisi.
1982: Valley Cities Mental Health, Auburn, WA – I was the secretary/front office person for this adult day treatment program supervised by Rick Keat, M.S.
I always felt drawn to the mental health mileau; I really enjoyed the patients and clients, and I became good friends with quite a few practitioners. The mind has always fascinated me, and I felt at home in places where being mentally healthy was a priority.
